Levitate is one beautiful and emotional book.

When Kensington and Maxton (Kensi and Max) are thrown together because their best friends are dating, things do not go well at first. Kensi thinks Max is attractive, and hits the nail on the head about him being a player. Max can't get Kensi out of his mind and at first just enjoys the chase with her until things change.

Watching these two when they first met was quite hilarious. Kensi had some slip-ups about her thoughts on Max and he definitely hears them and gives her grief about them. Neither one of them want a relationship, but they can't deny the attraction they have for one another. Seeing Max pursuing Kensi was quite hilarious. Seeing him call her on her crap, and push his way into her life was awesome and definitely made me fall for him.

Both of these characters have pasts that they would like to forget, and hurts in their lives that they are not over. Both of them have lost a parent, and I think this bonds them and strengthens them. Granted, Kensi doesn't tell Max the entire story about how she lost her mother, she doesn't talk about it to anyone, but slowly she starts to open up to Max and let him in. Seeing how she doesn't trust many people, seeing her open up to Max was beautiful. You could tell how much he meant to her, even before she fully realized it. Seeing Max come to the realization that he loved this girl was hilarious.

I loved how sweet Max was with Kensi once his jerk facade was removed. You could tell how much he cared about her, and that he would do anything to keep her safe and keep her by his side. Their friends and everyone around them could see how much the two of them adored and loved each other, but neither one of them knew how to tell the other. Just when Kensi is ready to talk to Max and let him in on her past, her past catches up to her and causes some issues. My heart broke for her in having to go through this, but as the reader, I saw this coming, so I prepared myself for it. When her past comes back, it breaks both her and Max. Max hurts for her, and she's not wanting to put people in the middle of what happened. What happens next is definitely sad, but at the same time beautiful.

Max and Kensi's story is one that will stick with me for a while. Both of these characters found something they didn't think they would ever want or have. Their relationship was rocky at first, but ended up being one beautiful love story. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and fall in love when reading Levitate. This is definitively a book I highly recommend. The ending is spectacular and I fell in love with the characters and the writing of this book!

So love this story of Maxton and Kensington. Kensington had a tragedy in her teen's with the loss of her Mother. She always blamed herself even though to was never her fault. All she has left is her Dad, and they get buy with the loss as best as they can together. Maxton's childhood wasn't the best, when his mom walked out on not only his Dad but him too, he vowed to never let a woman have that kind of control on him. He just uses them for what he wants then moves on. He was determined to never love a woman and let them destroy him like his mom did his Dad. Chance meeting when their Best Friends start dating. First impressions are so not good but they keep being brought together because of their friends. Kensi thinks Max is full of hims self and an ass. Max thinks Kensi is stuck up. He is not use being turn down. Which meeting Max is drawn to her and he just doesnt understand the pull. But with each touch, feelings start for both. Each of them don't understand the feelings are want them. You have two people that have hurt and trauma in their lives, they deal the best they can and when love comes knocking will they give it a chance. Home is where each other are, willing to Love be enough to chance their past. Will kensingtons pass Trauma make Max turn away from her. This is a 1- click book, Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a romance with “alpha” male and beautifully broken girl – this is for you! Kensington is average girl currently finishing her senior year of college. She is plagued with memories of her tragic past, which she keeps secret. Maxton is a local bar owner and strong and assertive man. He has no trouble getting the women that he wants. When he meets Kensington, he immediately is intrigued by her and wants to make her his girl. Although commitment has never been in his vocabulary, Kensington chnages everything.

I really enjoyed the interactions between Kensington and Maxton. They are the couple that you hate to love – they are the opposites that attract. She is beautiful and like most girls (besides her past) she is quiet/to herself. He is handsome yet off putting. Personally, I wanted to know more of his story. I wanted to know why he acted the way he does. I wish there would have been a little more background to Maxton. His “player” ways seem a bit unjustified to me. His sudden turn from being an assertive jerk to wanting to be sweet and loving was hard for me to adjust to. It was a quick turnaround.

Overall, I really enjoyed this quick read! The romance was hot, the characters were hot and the story behind them was captivating!
I love Kaylee Ryan and her stories are so fun and super cute! I love Maxton and how he behaves toward Kensington. His over the top Alpha behavior is adorable and how he protects and takes care of her *Swoon*. I also Love Kensi and how she has had to overcome so much pain and grief and in the story you can feel her emotions when her past comes up. Like most other Kaylee Ryan stories *Spoiler* the main characters get pregnant, but it definitely adds to the story and it seems to really grow their relationship! I also love the secondary characters and how you get a little glimpse at their love story too! My only “complaint” is the beginning of the book when Max hooks up with another girl in his truck - I didn’t like it and I understand that this is who he used to be, but I could definitely done without it!! Overall great story and a book that I love to reread!
